Awa Odori is a traditional Japanese dance renowned throughout the world, said to have a history stretching back over 400 years. At the welcome reception, the Daikon Ren dance group, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, will be performing for us.

Convention & Visitors Bureau will be offering special sightseeing bus
tours of Tokyo. Please register at TOKYO CITY INFORMATION DESK set up in
the lobby of the Waseda University International Conference Center during
the times listed below. Participation is limited to overseas registrants
(overseas residents). Japanese nationals and foreign nationals residing
in Japan are not able to register.

Day 2 & 3 - Japanese Tea Ceremony Experience Room
The tea ceremony is a traditional Japanese art form perfected by Sen no
Rikyu (1522-1591). The Mushanokoji Senke is one of the three Senke, founded
by Rikyu, and is a style that carries on Rikyu's spirit and traditions
of the tea ceremony.
In recent years, the tea ceremony and matcha have been gaining popularity
overseas as well. Please join us at ISEI 2026 Tokyo to experience Japanese
culture between presentations. We look forward to welcoming you with fragrant
matcha and traditional sweets. Place: Ground Floor, Waseda University International Conference Center
